Florida Botanical Gardens Foundation hosts the annual sale
The annual Gift and Plant Sale at the Florida Botanical Gardens will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 9.
Presented by the Florida Botanical Gardens Foundation, this popular annual sale will feature more than 50 vendors offering an assortment of tropical plants, orchids, bromeliads, Florida native plants, herbs and bamboo. Other available items include distinctive clothing, accessories, jewelry, garden art, pottery, gourmet food and candles.
"We are happy to welcome these high quality vendors to our garden and community,” said event chair Terry Berube. “With the variety of items being offered you can’t leave without something in your hand for yourself or gifts for your loved ones. "
The Botanical Bounty gift shop will also be open with an array of gifts and goods for sale.
Proceeds from this event will benefit the Florida Botanical Gardens.
Entry and parking are free for visitors during daylight hours. Parking is available at both entrances to the Florida Botanical Gardens: 12520 Ulmerton Road and 12211 Walsingham Road in Largo.
Visitors are encouraged to make the most of their visit to the gardens and stay for the Holiday Lights in the Gardens, which takes place 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. each evening through Jan. 1. The suggested donation for evening Holiday Lights in the Gardens is $2 per adult and free for children under 12.
The holiday lights feature more than 500,000 LED lights, adorning the thousands of plants and trees, with local entertainers and Santa Claus at scheduled times. An updated schedule is available at www.flbg.org.
