Grimaldi’s Pizzeria turns a page for children this holiday season
CLEARWATER, Fla. (Dec. 17, 2012) -- Grimaldi’s Pizzeria, famous for its award-winning, hand-tossed, coal-fired brick oven pizzas and calzones, is helping the cause for children’s literacy with their “Books for Kids” holiday book drive.
Located at 27001 US Highway 19 N. Suite 1140 in Countryside Mall in Clearwater, guests are encouraged to drop off new or “gently loved” books for children from now until Dec. 21.
Grimaldi’s Pizzeria is partnering with Eckerd, a community-based, youth services organization dedicated to helping children succeed. By dropping off books in support of this program, the community can help improve the lives of more than 7,000 at-risk children, foster care children and underprivileged youths.
“We are very excited about ‘Books for Kids,’” said Vincent Diorio, general manager of Grimaldi’s Pizzeria in Clearwater. “We have always focused on the children in our community, and are looking forward to providing the gift of learning and literacy this holiday season.”
