High School Girls Soccer: East Lake Finishes Strong in PHU Tournament

In their last game of the Hurricane Watch soccer tournament Nov. 2, the East Lake Varsity Girls dominated over Countryside, racking up a 2-0 win.

East Lake’s first goal came just 10 minutes into the game when Karina White headed the ball into the net off a free kick by Kristy Legoas

Elisha Holmes dribbled around several Countryside defenders for a another decisive goal in the first half.  The Eagles kept up the pressure at the net for the remainder of the game, keeping the Countryside goalie busy.

A great save by East Lake goalie Mackenzie Nalven near the end of the game prevented Countryside from scoring, maintaining another East Lake shut-out.

The Lady Eagles begin their regular season this Monday with a 6:00pm game at Largo.
