Get connected with your community.

1. Today is the second day of Hurricane Season 2011. The folks over at the Pinellas County Emergency Operations Center have been working their tails off to make sure you're prepared.

One of the things they've created is a cool radio show that airs from 10am to 10:30am today on WRXB 1590 AM. You can also watch it on the Pinellas County Website, or PCC-TV (Brighthouse Channel 622, Knology Channel 18, or Verizon Channel 44).

You'll learn about preparedness tips and a government home improvement loan that can be used to help you get your home ready for hurricane season. How cool is that?
