Business of the Year Winner Says Work Ethic and Staff Brought Success

A Palm Harbor business owner says he was completely caught by surprise when he was recently honored with a prestigious award.
The Greater Palm Harbor Chamber of Commerce gave Green Tech Termite and Pest Control its 2012 Small Business of the Year award during its annual dinner in October.
"I was honestly surprised. There are so many businesses in Palm Harbor, I was really caught off guard. I had no idea I was getting it," said owner Frank Nabozny, who started the family-run operation back in 1980.
Nabozny's daughters both work with him at the environmentally-friendly pest control business, which is located at 1395 Belcher Rd. Nicki Chandler, 40, started when she was 18. His other daughter, Danielle Cavalear, 32, also works with him.
Nabozny credits his work ethic and his team for the success of Green Tech. "We run an honest business. We care. We work hard. It's a team effort, we're truly blessed."
Nabozny also says having strong ties in the community helps as well.
"I enjoy being involved in the community. The more you give to the community, the more you get back," he said.
