Father’s Day Gift Ideas

While Mother’s Day might get more fanfare, everyone knows fathers are nearly as important as their counterparts in the grand scheme of things. 

Although dads don’t necessarily want to be wined and dined or showered with flowers, they still enjoy a good, thoughtful gift or two in addition to not having to mow the lawn for a day.

The U.S. 19 resort features four high-quality courses, instructional classes and a fully stocked pro shop. There’s even a small Par-36 course where dad can play a few rounds with the youngest members of the family. 

2. Paddleboard classes. Is the dad in your life an outdoorsman? How about getting him on a paddleboard, where he can  and get a great workout at the same time?  is conveniently located on Alternate U.S. 19 and offers lessons at nearby Pop Stansell Park.

3. Movies. Has Dad been dying to see the latest summer blockbuster? Does the family want to take in The Avengers again? If so, a trip to the  on U.S. 19 could make for the ideal Father’s Day gift. It’s cool, it’s fun, it offers beer and wine, and TVs play sporting events in the men’s bathroom. What more could a dad want? 

4. Sporting goods. If your dad is a man who likes to get involved in sports and not just watch them from the couch, chances are he might need some new gear. If so, a trip to the new on U.S. 19 should satisfy his need for a replacement softball glove, a new driver or exercise equipment. 

5. Steak, wings and beer. There aren’t many men around who don’t enjoy at least one of these items; many are enamored with all three. Luckily, there are plenty of places in the area to take Dad where he can enjoy his favorite items. , Buffalo Wild Wings (Oldsmar) and Beef O’Brady’s (Safety Harbor) have terrific wings; great steaks can be had at , Packard’s and steak houses; and beer you can get most anywhere, but has a wide variety of flavors for the discerning, beer-loving dad.
