Gas Prices Expected to Drop Even Lower

We found gas for sale in Palm Harbor that's seven cents lower than the average price in Tampa Bay.

Here's some good news for your wallet. Gas prices dropped this past week and they're expected to drop even more.

Today in Palm Harbor, we found a gallon of unleaded selling for a low of $3.43. That price is not too shabby considering AAA's Daily Fuel Gauge Report lists the current average price of a gallon of unleaded gas in Tampa Bay at $3.50.

This week's average in Tampa Bay is actually down from last week's average of $3.57. AAA officials say it's because crude oil prices fell along with consumer confidence, which is at a 30-year low. We can expect gas prices to continue to decline.

"Some retailers are slow to drop prices at the pump since the market is so volatile at this time. However, consumers should start to see retail gas prices fall even further this week as a result of crude oil continuing to trade below $90 a barrel," said Jessica Brady, spokesperson, AAA Auto Club South.

Here's a look at the gas stations in Palm Harbor that are offering the three lowest prices for a gallon of regular unleaded gas as of 5 p.m. Wednesday, according to TampaGasPrices.com:
