If you love animals, you might want to consider becoming a foster parent for the Suncoast Animal League

Fostering is a rewarding and much-needed volunteer task that saves hundreds of animals at Suncoast Animal League each year.

Puppies, kittens, dogs and cats are in need of foster homes for a wide variety of reasons-

  • The shelter is overcrowded.
  • They're too young to be adopted.
  • They still need to be spayed or neutered.
  • They have special medical needs.

Interested in learning more? A special class for Suncoast Animal League foster parents will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 21 at The Centre. The class will be led by Executive Director Rick Chaboudy and should run approximately 1½ hours. Current foster parents are also encouraged to attend as information is updated regularly.

Enroll for the class by Friday, Jan. 18 via email at info@suncoastanimalleague.org. Spacing is limited, so register early.

The Centre is located at 1500 16th St., Palm Harbor

The Suncoast Animal League is located at 1030 Pennsylvania Ave. (727) 786-1330

This is a great way to help pets in our community. We'd love to hear some stories from local foster parents.
