Library Offering Free Halloween Costume Exchange

Do your kids want different Halloween costumes this year? You can swap out their old ones for costumes at the Palm Harbor Library.

Here's a budget-friendly option for Halloween. The is holding a free Halloween Costume Exchange through October 29.

The popular exchange is a great option for kids who've outgrown their Halloween costumes, or for kids who want a new look this year.

"It's a huge success every year,  says Lois Eannel, Head of Youth Services at the Palm Harbor Library, "Kids never want to wear the same costumes twice."

Eannel says there is a wide variety of costumes because the selection changes every week due to the swap outs.

To participate, you just need to bring your old costume to the desk at the Children's Library which is inside the Palm Harbor Library. A person at the desk will look over the costume to make sure it is in good condition for a swap. Once your costume is approved, you can swap it out for a different one.

Costumes are also available for purchase at $5 each. "It's still a lot less than what you'd pay for in the stores," says Eannel.

There is a limit of one costume per child.

The library also has a special going on. They are selling coupon books that contain discounts at area businesses and attractions. If you buy a coupon book for $20, you'll receive a $10 credit for costumes. Credit cards are accepted to use as payment for the coupon books.
