Performances Galore for PHUH Drama Students

Palm Harbor University High drama students performed in back-to-back theatre conferences and festivals this month.

It's been a busy few weeks for drama students at Palm Harbor University High. They represented Florida at the Southeastern Theatre Conference in Chattanooga March 7-11. Then, on the following weekend, they returned to Florida and performed in the Florida State Thespian Festival in Tampa.

Graham Howard, who is the theater instructor at says he has not yet received the official critiques from the conference in Chattanooga, but he knows the performance went extremely well.

"Once again the production of Wiley was extremely well received with the play taking straight superior ratings in both performance and tech," he said.

Several students were also selected to perform the following weekend in the opening and closing ceremonies at the thespian festival. Howard says this is a very rare accomplishment. At the festival, the students performed under the musical direction of Justin Harvard.
