Senior Idol Winner Crowned at The Centre
Eight talented seniors took the stage in the first annual Senior Idol contest at The Centre on Friday, Nov. 9.
Who knew so many people enjoy karaoke?
Many of the participants in The Centre's recent Senior Idol competition said they love to sing and practice belting out the tunes at local karaoke bars.
Eight talented seniors took the stage in the first annual contest on Friday, Nov. 9.
Diane Starr won the competition with her performance of "Don't it Make My Brown Eyes Blue," the country song made famous by Crystal Gayle.

Judges included Suncoast Animal League's Executive Director Rick Chaboudy, Chick-fil-A Marketing Director Kelli Snow and Palm Harbor Patch Editor Sunde Farquhar.

No, we don't, but maybe we should!! LOL!!! Diane and I have known each other for years, so I see her alot. I'll be at The American Legion tomorrow (Saturday) and Flanagan's on Monday running karaoke. Try to stop by. It was great meeting you, Sunde. and last Friday was a blast. Take Care

This was just the beginning, I'm sure. Next year we may even have to have elimination rounds ahead of time. Very talented singers, and a great ad for karaoke bars.
