Double-Shooting Suspect Arrested in Palm Harbor

Robert William Bisplinghoff, 19, is charged with two counts of attempted first degree murder.

A man who was wanted by authorities in Pasco County in connection with a double shooting, was found in Palm Harbor and arrested by Pinellas County Sheriff's Deputies on Friday.

Robert William Bisplinghoff, 19, was arrested in Palm Harbor Friday on a Pasco County warrant. Bisplinghoff was wanted in connection with the double shooting that happened Dec. 20, 2012, near the Dunkin’ Donuts at 5524 U.S. 19 in New Port Richey.  Two men were shot at close range during an altercation there, according to New Port Richey Police Chief James Steffens..

Authorities say Bisplinghoff fled and was arrested at a undisclosed motel in Palm Harbor.

Bisplinghoff was charged with two counts of attempted first degree murder and booked into the Pinellas County Jail. 

Bisplinghoff, of 6403 Montana Ave, New Port Richey, is a close associate of an armed burglary ring that police officers busted, according to Steffens, but he has not been linked to those crimes at this time.
