It's Always Sunny In Florida

As everyone already knows, Florida is the Sunshine State. So the volunteer caregivers at the Suncoast Primate Sanctuary are always keeping me and my friends hydrated and cooled. So, what are some tricks the volunteers use?

To start, the Sanctuary is equipped with misters on enclosures that receive more sunlight than others. These misters are a great way for us to stay cool; plus they’re fun to play in! If misters aren’t an animal’s thing, then volunteers provide us with frozen juice pops that have frozen fruit in the center. These are delicious and help keep us hydrated.

Those are two tricks that volunteer use during the heat. In addition, all enclosures are equiped with licits that provide us with 24/7 access to fresh water. Most people forget that or native species are from climates hotter than the United States, so primates can withstand the heat and cold better than humans. Well, the next time you’re doing grocery shopping, feel free to pick up my favorite juice mix (sugar-free cool aid) and bring it on by for me and my friends!
