Dogtoberfest to Feature Super Pet Adopt-a-Thon

Palm Harbor's Suncoast Animal League sponsors the annual event. This year, nearly 50 non-profit animal rescue groups will have dogs ready for adoption.

If you're considering adding a dog to your family, you might want to attend the Suncoast Animal League's "Dogtoberfest" coming up Saturday, November 10 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Highlander Park in Dunedin.

This year, organizers are promising the biggest adopt-a-thon ever, featuring nearly 50 non-profit animal rescue groups that will have dogs ready for adoption.

Some groups are breed-specific, so if you're contemplating adopting a particular breed of dog, they can answer questions about personalities and traits which can help you decide which dog is right for you.
