Plans are under way for Palm Harbor's annual 9/11 Memorial Service at Curlew Hills Memory Gardens.

Guest appearances include a Bald Eagle from Lowry Park Zoo, a Pinellas County Sheriff's flyover and Sen. Jack Latvala. Reginald Roundtree of Channel 10 News is master of ceremonies.

The service serves to honor those lives lost in the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon on Sept. 11, 2001.

More than 800 attended last year's unveiling of a 150-pound piece of rusted steel beam, which was once linked to the structure of the World Trade Center Towers, according to Palm Harbor fire officials.
