Smithsonian Exhibit To Make Palm Harbor Museum Debut

A Smithsonian exhibition is coming to Palm Harbor next winter.

A Smithsonian exhibition is coming to Palm Harbor next winter.

The renowned Smithsonian's "The Way We Worked" exhibit will depict the early life of workers across the United States between January and February 2015.

Palm Harbor Museum officials say the exhibit will allow them "to be linked and integrated with the work of local groves, packing houses, the railroad, Boot Ranch and the ladder factory, which existed on the property currently occupied by the museum."

The upcoming exhibition is made possible because of a $6,000 grant from the Florida Humanities Council, according to a news release from the Palm Harbor Museum, 2043 Curlew Rd., but requires partners or sponsors to help match the grant and offset costs.
