Children

Toddler Story Time
  • Details: Stories and songs in interactive story time for children 18 months to age 3
  • When: Monday at 10 a.m.
Snips and Scraps Scrapbooking
  • Details: Registration is required for this scrapbooking session for children ages 8 to 15. Bring photos, ticket stubs and special mementos for scrapbooking. Space is limited.
  • When: 5 to 6:30 p.m.; three-session workshop Sept. 3, 17, and 24
Mother Goose Rhyme Time
  • Details: This is a child’s first story time with nursery rhymes and songs especially for infants and children to the age of 2.
  • When: Wednesday at 10 a.m.
National Read-A-Book Day Celebration!
  • Details: Join us as we celebrate with grandparent-themed stories and activities for children ages 3 and up.
  • When: Friday, Sept. 6 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.

Teens

Youth Advisory Board (YAB)
  • Details: Teens are invited to meet each week to plan activities, discuss issues and implement library and community events of interest to young adults. Participation can be credited for community service hours. Applications are available through Adult Services of the Teen Librarian.
  • When: Thursdays at 5 p.m.

Adults

Phil’s Book Club
  • Details: This is a lively book discussion group facilitated by Palm Harbor Library’s Director Gene Coppola. In September, the book to be discussed will be Catherine the Great by Robert Massie. Copies of the book are available in the library.
  • When: The second Monday of each month at 11 a.m. and the second Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m.
Adult Sign Language
  • Details: Learn basic sign language in a relaxed, informal atmosphere. No registration required. For additional information, please contact Rosa Rodriguez at 727-724-1525, Ext. 120.
  • When: Beginners’ class is scheduled for Tuesdays at 6 p.m.; Adult Intermediate class meets Tuesdays at 7 p.m.
The Master Gardener Plant Clinic
  • Details: The Pinellas County Master Gardeners provide a weekly gardening help desk. Bring your gardening questions and plant samples. No registration required.
  • When: Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Thrilling Tales! A Story Time for Adults
  • Details: Who says only kids like to be read to? Join us for a selection of oral readings from a variety of authors. Light refreshments served.
  • When: Thursday, Sept. 5 at 1 p.m.
Socrates Café
  • Details: This is a program that intellectually stimulates and promotes discussion on a variety of subjects. No registration required.
  • When: The first Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. and the third Thursday of each month at 1 p.m.
Florida Master Money Mentors

Creative Writing Workshop
  • Details: A writer needs to take the reader into the world of the store from the first sentence, paragraph and page. This workshop will help you accomplish this. Bring in your own work-in-progress. Registration required.
  • When: Saturdays, Sept. 7, 14, 21, and 28 at 10 a.m.
Your Life, Your Legacy: Plan to Make It Right
  • Details: Representatives from Moss-Feaster Funeral Homes will help you learn four simple steps to planning your final arrangements. Coffee and donuts will be served. Registration required.
