Black Honkeys to Perform at LuLu's Saturday

The Black Honkeys are known for performing a lively mix of Motown, funk, soul, and rock and roll.

Palm Harbor will be getting a crowd-pleasing dose of funk and fun on Saturday, August 10, when the Black Honkeys perform at LuLu's Beach House Cafe.

The Black Honkeys are known for performing a lively mix of Motown, funk, soul, and rock and roll. They are one of Tampa Bay's most popular bands.

"I saw the Black Honkeys play at Citrus Festival and it was very entertaining," said LuLu's owner Louise Goetz.

"Their music is very upbeat and makes you want to dance and get up and have a good time."

The Black Honkeys will perform in the back yard of LuLu's. Doors open at 4 p.m.

Beer, wine, sangria and margaritas will be available in addition to food. "We're going to have a ton of food that night," said Goetz.

The Black Honkeys will also have a meet-and-greet with fans at LuLu's from 6 to 7 p.m.

Former America's Got Talent contestant Shevonne opens the show at 5 p.m. Then, the Black Honkeys perform from 7 to 10 p.m.

Tickets are $5 and are available at LuLu's Beach House Cafe, which is located at 917 11th St. in old downtown Palm Harbor, (727) 831-7742.
