Palm Harbor Weekend Music Scene: Octoberfest, Roktoberfest!

Saturday is Palm Harbor Octoberfest with two bands performing but there is plenty of music to be heard all weekend throughout the area.

sees a change to the usual Friday entertainment with the band Caribbean Cowboy kicking off the weekend at 7 p.m. This three piece band consists of Julian Riviere on vocals and guitar, David Dubois on Bass and vocals and Loui Buffo on drums. The band plays a mixture of country and rock fused with island music such as calypso and reggae. Typical sets include everything from Bob Marley to Randy Travis and Johnny Cash.  

Also on Friday night Acoustic Rust will be performing at from 8 p.m. A solo performer, Gary Michael Sintes tours the Tampa music scene under his stage name, Acoustic Rust. He plays a variety of styles on his acoustic guitar, everything from The Beatles to the blues.

Fancy making some music of your own this weekend? Then head down to the on Friday night where it is open mic night. From 8 p.m. onwards you can hear all kinds of talent performing a variety of different musical styles.

Chad Britt will be performing at on Friday night. Britt is sure to be a hit with fans of country music. The performance starts at 8 p.m.

On Friday night, you can see the band Stormbringer performing at in Ozona from 9 p.m. onwards. This popular band is regulars at Craver's and has been together since 1986. A classic rock band, Stormbringer plays original music as well as covers of bands such as Pink Floyd and Bon Jovi. You can find more details at www.stormbringer.com

will be hosting Johnny B Live on Friday night. Drawing on a huge range of influences, the band plays a little bit of everything from Chuck Berry to Coldplay, Michael Jackson to Guns’n’Roses. The music starts at 9 p.m. For more info visit www.johnnyblive.com

Saturday night you can celebrate Octoberfest in Historic Downtown Palm Harbor. 

The is participating in the Octoberfest Street Festival Saturday night. They're calling it a night of Beer, Brats & Billings. The live music starts at 5:00 p.m. The Greg Billings Band will be headlining. This six piece band of experienced musical journeymen has been rocking throughout Florida since 2003. Peggy O’Neill’s will be hosting its Roktoberfest celebration Saturday night. This day long celebration features two bands. First up at 4 p.m. Four Star Riot will be performing. This Tampa-based band delivers a blend of pop, rock and R&B with impressive results. In the past Four Star Riot has performed at the South by Southwest Festival in Austin and supported such illustrious names as Bon Jovi and Def Leppard.

Flying High return to Fairway Pizza on Saturday night. This house band performs weekly at Fairway Pizza with a set of songs that include popular favorites as well as some less well known tunes. The band features keyboard and guitar along with plenty of harmonic interplay. The show starts at 7 p.m.

At The Witch's Brew on Saturday night you can catch a solo performance from local singer/songwriter Jayne Kelli. The enchanting pairing of mellow acoustic guitar and soulful yet powerful vocals makes Kelli’s shows special. For more info and demos visit www.jaynekellimusic.com. Blues & Company will be performing at on Saturday night. The band draws on many classic blues players for influence including Muddy Waters, Howlin’ Wolf and B.B. King. They also throw in a little rock to their performances from the likes of artist such as Creedence Clearwater Revival. The music starts at 8 p.m.
