What Goes Around Comes Back Around at Boomerang Boutique

Australia native Todd Williams owns the Palm Harbor resale boutique with his spouse Jennifer. "What goes around comes back around, like a boomerang. That's how we came to become Boomerang Boutique," he said.

You can now experience a bit of Australia without having to leave Palm Harbor. Australia native Todd Williams, 40, and his spouse Jennifer, 41, recently opened the Boomerang Boutique in the Key West Center Shopping Plaza at the corner of U.S. Alternate 19 and Alderman Road.

"I thought it might be fun to use an Australian theme and then Jen thought up Boomerang. What goes around comes back around, like a boomerang. That's how we came to become Boomerang Boutique," said Todd.

The Palm Harbor couple's clothing boutique offers stylish, new and gently-used clothing for "Sheilas" (that's Australian slang for females) of all ages.

"I wanted to have a store where teenagers could shop with their moms and it's cool and trendy. Even little funky grandmothers could have fun and everybody could shop together as a family, rather than going to different places to get their clothing," said Jennifer.

Boomerang Boutique features top-name clothing and accessories at wallet-friendly prices, with nothing more than $50.

The couple, who both graduated from Tarpon Springs High, decided to make the boutique a family affair. Their 7-month-old son, Aiden has his own corner, where he hangs out during the day while mom Jennifer works in the store. Aiden even has a kids clothing section of the store, "Aiden's Corner," named after him.

The couple's friends have added their own touches to the boutique.

A beautiful mural of an Australian Flame Tree adorns a wall. It was painted by artist Cathleen Schott of Walls Come Alive a St. Petersburg company that specializes in murals and other artwork for walls, ceilings, garages and kids' bedrooms.

The Crabby Mermaid line of Baby Bikinis based in St. Pete Beach, is also sold at Boomerang Boutique. Palm Harbor resident Alethea Grigg, is a big fan of the brand-new, tiny bikinis. She stopped by the boutique and purchased a baby bikini for her granddaughter.

"I've been chomping at the bit to get down here," she said.

Boomerang Boutique is located at 2706 Alt. 19, Suite 110, (727) 492-3749.
