Like Bargain Shopping? GoLo Outlet Celebrates its Grand Opening Friday

Bargain hunters have a new place to look for budget-friendly treasures in Palm Harbor.

Kugler's GoLo Outlet celebrates its Grand Opening on Friday, Dec. 7. The 12,000-square-foot store has actually been open since Black Friday and features a wide variety of items with discounts of up to 90 percent.

There's something for just about every budget. Prices start at $1 for things like Martha Stewart stationery supplies, mousepads, DVDs and children's books, many of which are displayed in large cardboard bins that allow shoppers to dig for bargains.

T-shirts start at $2. Small appliances, toys, kitchenware, bedding and household items can be found in aisles throughout the store.

GoLo also sells cameras, TVs, laptop computers, video games and accessories, which manager Tony Armer says sets the store apart from other discount retailers.

"Bealls and Marshalls don't have electronics like we do," he said.

Palm Harbor resident Sarah Jaehn says she found out about GoLo by reading Palm Harbor Patch. 

Thursday afternoon, the Palm Harbor Middle School eighth-grade English teacher was digging in large cardboard bins, looking for the perfect item for a white elephant gift exchange at the school.

"I found a Rockette," she said, proudly holding the $1.50 toy in her hand. With one click, the red skirt of the Radio City Rockette dancer lit up and started spinning.

Shoppers might be happy to learn that they can get an additional 10 percent off all items except for electronics if they bring a Toys for Tots donation to Friday's Grand Opening. Toys for Tots accepts brand new, unwrapped toys.
