Old Downtown Palm Harbor will be at the center of holiday festivities Saturday.
Palm Harbor's Annual Holiday Parade will end on Florida Ave. in Old Downtown Palm Harbor Saturday afternoon. The parade begins at Westlake and Nebraska at 3 p.m. and is scheduled to end around 5 p.m. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be in the parade. After the parade is over, they'll visit with children in Old Downtown Palm Harbor.
If you go tomorrow, you may notice that Old Downtown Palm Harbor will have a festive look.
Community members decorated for the holidays Friday morning. Thanks to Kelli Snow for sending us the accompanying photos.
Tomorrow, you might also notice that bright white lights now adorn trees along the sidewalks in the area. Old Palm Harbor Main Street has been raising money to install lights on the trees in an effort to lighten the area, so it's not as dark at night.
The white lights will be displayed on trees along Florida Ave. throughout the year. "We still have a few trees available to sponsor," said Debbie Thomas of Old Palm Harbor Main Street. If you are interested in sponsoring a tree, the cost is $300. Contact Old Palm Harbor Main Street for more details (727) 787-4700.
