Vandal Smashed Windows of 13 Innisbrook Vehicles, Say Deputies

Deputies say Ryan William Kay, 20, went on a vandalism spree around 4:40 a.m., Dec. 30, 2012 causing an estimated $1,500 damage inside two Innisbrook buildings and $3,500 damage to 13 vehicles parked in the maintenance yard.

A Las Vegas man is accused in a vandalism spree that caused widespread damage at Palm Harbor's Innisbrook Golf Spa Resort.

By the time the alleged spree was over, the rear and side windows of 13 vehicles parked in the Innisbrook maintenance yard were smashed, the glass and plexiglass windows at two Innisbrook buildings were smashed and property inside the buildings was damaged as well, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by Palm Harbor Patch.

Pinellas County Sheriff's Deputies arrested Ryan William Kay, 20, on Dec. 30, 2012 on one charge of felony burglary of an unoccupied structure and one charge of criminal mischief.

Deputies say Kay went on the vandalism spree around 4:40 a.m., Dec. 30 causing an estimated $1,500 damage inside the buildings and $3,500 damage to the 13 vehicles.

Innisbrook Spokeswoman Ramona Hurley says the vehicles are in the process of being repaired.

Kay may have been under the influence of alcohol, according to the arrest affidavit.

He was released from the Pinellas County Jail after posting a $7,000 bond.

Follow this story and you'll see the travesty of our criminal justice system. Poor Ryan probably had a difficult childhood and will have his hand spanked and be placed on probation by some liberal judge (who did not have the pleasue of having his own windows smashed).

Where is security on the site....They can not do anything on site, cause the management is afraid to make the residents mad or bothered or upseT.....What kind of security is that????? I know for a fact, security can not even do anything if someone drives thru the gates, they have to call the sheriff office, they have no arresting power, they can only watch and wait until sheriff gets there......

:::snicker::: If they only would have pinned his ears back when he was younger, he wouldn't have all that aggression. Yet another punk who was never taught the value of actually earning something. Add some community service to the sentence!
