More than 9,000 Attend Pinellas Summer School

The Summer Bridge program attracted 9,143 students to learn and keep their minds sharp over the summer break.

The Pinellas County Summer Bridge Program ended Wednesday, July 24 and final enrollment numbers showed that 9,143 student attended, according to an article from TBO.com.
The Summer Bridge Program was the first time Pinellas county had tried a large-scale summer teaching program.
The program was focused on helping students who struggle in school subjects and closing the school achievement gaps.
The program is scheduled to continue next year with a stronger focus put on education students need for their next grade level.
