Photos: Palm Harbor Middle Beats Firefighters in Basketball Fundraiser

A large crowd turned out to watch Wednesday night's exhibition game which benefitted the Palm Harbor Panthers Boys Basketball Team.

A big high five to the Palm Harbor Panthers Boys Basketball Team, they won an exhibition game against Palm Harbor Firefighters Wednesday night, 46 to 21.

Plenty of fans turned out to cheer for their team. Many were students from Palm Harbor Middle School .

Principal Victoria Hawkins cheered the Panthers on from a front row seat.

"It was an amazing game.  Both teams enthusiastically played and were very skilled at the game.  The community support was amazing.  It was an honor to have the Firefighters support our school. We are looking forward to next year’s game already," she said.

Palm Harbor Fire Rescue Chief James Angle watched the game with co-workers.

"It was great to watch our PHFR members and the middle school team playing this game for such a great cause," he said.

"There was enthusiasm, excitement, and entertainment on both sides of the ball throughout the game."

Thanks to Palm Harbor Patch reader, Kristina Sinewe for submitting some great photos.

Proceeds from the game will benefit the Palm Harbor Panthers Basketball Team and will be used to buy things like team uniforms, warm-ups, shoes, equipment and awards.
