Virus Protection For Your Computer: Purchased Software Offers More

This blog is dedicated to maintaining the health of your computer.

There are 3,000 new viruses created each day. You should have protection!

Most people will choose the most economical solution...which usually means free. We do not recommend the free versions because it is basic protection and you do not get the updates for the NEW viruses as quick as the paid versions.

Some paid versions are better than others. Here are a few we recommend and why:

  • Eset Nod32 Lower on the memory resource...does not slow down computer, but still effective in catching the new viruses. I suggest the security suite version.
  • Evira Simuliar to Nod32, however it takes a little more memory, but is cost effective.
  • Avast More demand on processor. Detects more false positives. Great virus protection! Great for the average web surfer, but not for a gamer. Will slow down your programs.

All of these programs have one minor flaw.....they usually have a difficult time detecting a malware virus. We do recommend you use these detection software in connection with malwarebytes. Malwarebytes is a free software..unless you wish it to do active scanning in the background as your surfing the web. For this they charge a one time $25 fee.
