Palm Harbor Wrestler Jared Prince Takes 3rd in National Competition

Palm Harbor University High's Jared Prince competed at the 120 lb. weight class and finished third in the Flonationals.

A Palm Harbor University High student turned in an impressive performance at the recent "Flonationals", one of the toughest post-season national championship events in high school folkstyle wrestling.

This year’s tournament was held April 5-7 at Indiana University, PA. The tournament featured more than 60 nationally-ranked wrestlers and a large array of other state champs looking to make a name for themselves from over 35 states.

Palm Harbor University High's Jared Prince competed at the 120 lb. weight class and finished third. Prince finished the tournament with six wins and one loss which was in the semi-finals 5-3 to Darian Cruz, a Pennsyvania senior ranked third in the country.

Prince’s highlight of the tournament was pinning Mason Pengilly, a junior from California who is ninth in the national rankings. The Florida team finished in 8th place at Flonationals.
