I contacted the PEL program and it was the most frustrating and disappointing experience I can ever recall in contacting a college. The programs for PEL are highly limited! Additionally, you are told there are online opportunities; then when you go to enroll, those classes are not open for your curriculum so you can then choose to drive to Tampa one night, possibly South St. Pete (near Gulfport) another, Maybe you would like to drive to Sarasota or Palm Harbor. Do you have all day and all night with an endless gas budget and abundance of time? My paperwork was misplaced? And I had to submit sensitive information again and again by fax, scan and in person – driving all over yet again to turn around and receive a letter requesting the same thing. Wow! It is anybodies guess why you can not get a courtesy response when you request information. If and when someone bothers you are still left with a?mark. I also received correspondence saying to “please let me know if I can help”. Then when I took time to explain the situations, I got no response. No response should be the name of the college. If you enjoy running in circles and pulling your hair you’ll love it at Eckerd.
