It was a just a stroke of luck, 'Luck of the Irish' possibly, that I happened upon Sweet Caroline's. Yes, it happened coincidently to be St. Patrick's Day when I was running errands. I pulled into this quaint little shopping strip on Tampa Rd and found myself sitting in front of a store front where I thought I was to pick up the last of what was on my errand list. I exited my car without realizing I was not where I was suppose to be ....wrong shopping strip?!? Must have been...to my delight my senses were pleasantly overwhelmed with the fabulous aroma coming from this little shop called Sweet Caroline's. I had to stop in. The place was busy...lot's of green but what caught my attention was the multitude of loaves of soda bread... something I had not seen nor smelled since grandmother's kitchen way back in my childhood days. I was offered a taste by one of the employees. Yum...it was Heavenly. I could hear my grandmother saying "Have yourself a bit lass while I fix some tea." I wound up bringing home several loaves. As I drove I said a little prayer thanking my Heavenly Father for the sweet memory, the little trip back in time and of course the loaves of sweet smelling soda bread back from my past.
I have since been back on several occasions to pick up a treat for my family and a chance at another wonderful memory.
