Retiring baseball commissioner Bud Selig said Tuesday the Tampa Bay Rays need a new stadium, but that any future changes are up to team management. (Wikimedia Commons)

have been to a few stadiums including the Trop..it just doesn't feel like a baseball stadium and itsRead More not the indoor outdoor thing, it just does not have the umph...

I have been a Rays fan for a long time. I have been in this stadium when the Rays lost almost everyRead More game and were not a "popular" team. There is absolutely nothing wrong with Tropicana Field. I personally love attending games there. So sad to see how people keep hating on the Trop. Hoping that the RAYS can maybe upgrade the suites and seats and keep playing there! I see no benefit to moving or building a new stadium anywhere else. For the people who will not drive from Hillsborough County shame on you. I drive and also have season tickets to the LIGHTNING and I just don't understand!

I agree with you Christina. In the middle of summer, you can catch a game at the Trop, which is tempRead More controlled to 72 degrees. Way better than sweating your butt off in another stadium. Some upgrades, sure, but I do not see the correlation between the Trop and low attendance. It takes time for transplants to Tampa Bay to appreciate the local team instead of the one they watched in the town from which they came. Tampa is not the answer...they are Yankee fans and won't attend Rays games in Tampa any more than the Bucs draw.

Parents ruin sports..
sportsnut July 14, 2014 at 07:39 am
Alan I agree. Parents coach to get their kids and kids friends a leg up. Kids are choosen too basedRead More on parents and kids being friends. Take AAU and All-Stars and positions in each sport. Parents coach because they want their kid in prime positions, kids are friends with certain kids or because a family does not like someone but the kid has talent not playing. You need "out of area" coaches to come and determine if a kid is "that good" to be at the next level not "locals" whom coach because that is the only way the kid will get playing time.
Should customers tip when purchasing a takeout order of food? Patch File Photo

Absolutely leave a tip for take out food. Whether eating in the restaurant or in your home the foodRead More is cooked for you to enjoy.

Do you tip when you go to a drive thru? So why should you on take out?
Elena August 5, 2013 at 12:18 pm
I have always found this confusing because tipping was supposed to reward the worker for goodRead More service. The server not only takes your order but brings drinks, condiments, if requested, refills and makes sure your dining experience is a pleasant one. The server is working for you for a considerable amount of time, generally an hour or more. On the other hand, takeout workers are only working with customers for a few minutes. They take orders, possibly put the food in the bags , take the payment and that's it. I think if customers want (or are able because some may not be able to afford extras) to leave a tip, that should be within their discretion. Takeout workers should realize the difference and not get upset if they don't get as much or nothing. Last point, I don't usually see tip jars at some takeout places and then do at others. So even the industry itself is not consistent.
