Deputies: Thieves Took Sushi, Beer, Prilosec, Baby Items and Water Filters

Jewelry is not a surprising target for thieves, but how about Prilosec and Allegra?

You might be surprised at the wide variety of items that people are accused of pilfering from Palm Harbor retail stores in recent days, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office. Jewelry is not a surprising target for thieves, but how about Prilosec and Allegra?  Deputies say on April 12, Hollie Zak, 28, of Palm Harbor stuffed four boxes of Prilosec and four boxes of Allegra into her purse then walked out of the Sweetbay Supermarket at 1360 Tampa Road without paying for the medicines. A surveillance camera recorded the theft. Deputies say Zak told them that she stole the medicines to support her drug habit. She had planned on giving the Prilosec and Allegra to her drug dealer in exchange for Roxys. This was Zak's fourth theft …

Sex Offender Accused of Molesting Fellow Resident at Palm Harbor Nursing Home

Bobby Lee Jones, 68, is accused of fondling another resident at the Countryside Rehab and Heath Care Center located at 3825 Countryside Boulevard N. in Palm Harbor, according to an arrest affidavit.

A registered sex offender who lives at a Palm Harbor nursing home is accused of molesting a disabled man who also lives there. Bobby Lee Jones, 68, is charged with one count of felony lewd and lascivious battery of an elderly or disabled person.  The alleged incident happened around 1 a.m. on March 19 at the Countryside Rehab and Heath Care Center located at 3825 Countryside Boulevard N. in Palm Harbor. The victim said that Jones went to his bedside and fondled him against his will. Because of the victim's disability, he was unable to get away from Jones, according to an arrest affidavit.
