Deputies: Pair Drove from Miami to Rip Off Palm Harbor Ross Store

Deputies say they found $3,898 worth of stolen items and a "booster bag" in a vehicle driven by Alberto Alex Rojas, 56, of Palm Harbor. Rojas served as getaway driver during the theft from Ross, according to an arrest affidavit.

A Palm Harbor man served as a getaway driver for a man and woman who traveled from Miami to Palm Harbor to steal merchandise from the Ross store at 33165 U.S. 19, according to authorities. On May 3 at about 9:15 p.m., Pinellas County Sheriff's Deputies arrested Alberto Alex Rojas, 56, of Palm Harbor and Jose Castillo, 19, and Gina Cordano, 44, whose hometowns were not provided. Deputies say the trio stole $1,085 worth of items from the store that evening using a "booster bag." A booster bag is a bag that has been modified to include a special lining, like multiple layers of aluminum foil, that can prevent security panels from detecting items inside the bag. Walmart Theft Arrest: Man Stuffed Spark Plugs, Car Light Bulbs in Shirt, Deputies Say

Michael Edward James, 32, of Palm Harbor, was charged with felony petit theft because he already has four prior convictions for theft in New Jersey, according to an arrest affidavit.

A Palm Harbor man faces a felony theft charge after deputies say he tried to steal auto parts from a Clearwater Walmart by stuffing them in his shirt. Michael Edward James, 32, is charged with felony petit theft in connection with the incident. James was charged with a felony because he has four prior convictions for theft in New Jersey, according to an arrest affidavit. Deputies say James entered the Walmart at 23106 U.S. 19 around 6 p.m. on March 6 and took three spark plugs and three car light bulbs from shelves at the rear of the store and put the items down his shirt. Teen Accused of Pilfering Razors, Toothbrush and Conditioner From Walmart Faces Felony Charges

A trip to the Palm Harbor Walmart landed a 19 year-old in jail after deputies say he shoplifted $13 worth of toiletries.

A Dunedin man is back in jail on felony charges after shoplifting $13 worth of toiletries, according to Pinellas County Sheriff's arrest records. Cody James Hudson, 19, was caught with toiletry items from the Palm Harbor Walmart, 35404 U.S. Highway 19 N, around 2 p.m. on Nov. 2. He had a pack of Schick razors, an Oral B tooth brush, and a bottle of conditioner, according to arrest records. The merchandise is valued at $13.56. Pinellas arrest records state Hudson did not pay for the items. He was arrested and charged with a misdemeanor count of petty shoplifting and two felony counts of violation of a three-year probation for possession of cocaine and burglary in Pasco County.
